After his third mission to secure the release of the hostages failed, Mr Gopal returned to Chennai from the jungle around 8 am on 6 Sept 2000. Later came to Bangalore and held talks with Chief Minister S M Krishna for over an hour. Tamil film star Rajanikanth was also present during his talks Mr Krishna.
